When the festive season goes on full swing, the first thing that charms one, is a vibrant rangoli. Brightening up the festival, it is also believed to be “Harbinger of good luck”. This vibrant atmosphere was found in Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro today, when students of Nursery to Std. 5, participated in the rangoli competition that was held in Tapovan Hall inside the school premises on 03/11/2018. The overwhelming participation and exuberance of students together made the ambience delightful as the artistic creativity of students was exhibited in abundance.

CULTURAL QUIZ
CULTURAL QUIZ

Spirituality includes a sense of connection with the divine and it typically involves a search for meaning in life. On 24th November 2018, the students of Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro actively participated in the Spiritual Quiz organized by the school. To keep the students rooted to cultures and values, questions were asked from Gita, Ramayana and Mahabharata. The participants as well as the audience got a chance to exhibit their knowledge and explore more about the various epics and scriptures of India.

Picnics offer many social benefits and are a great stress booster as it helps reduce the stress and anxiety. The students of our Vidyalaya along with their teachers had gone for a City ride and picnic during their school hours. They had gone to some renowned places of Bokaro Steel City, such as The Jagannath Temple, Nehru Park and Ram Mandir. It gave the students and the teachers an opportunity to move out of their monotonous routine life and explore and enjoy more. They spent quality time basking in nature and enjoying great views. Together they had lunch in Swami Tapovan Hall after returning back. It was a great experience for them as they were left rejuvenated.

“The Secret of winning any prize is knowing that your own treasure and potential is equal to it and worthy of it.” Academic achievement is a sign of refined intellect which can help students in all domains of their lives. Acknowledging a child for his academic excellence is the best way of motivating him and it also sets a benchmark for other students. The most awaited event of Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro that is The Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony was held in the Tapovan Hall on 15th and 16th January 2019. The dignitaries present to grace the occasion were Swamini Samyuktananda Ji ,Acharaya , Chinmaya Mission, Bokaro; Shri Bishwarup Mukhopadhyay, President; Shri Mahesh Tripathi, Secretary ; R.N Mallik, Treasurer ; Dr. Ashok Singh, Principal; Shri A. K. Jha , Vice Principal; Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro. The top scorerers in each subject of every section were awarded a gold medal and a certificate of excellence, while the second highest scorerers were awarded a silver medal and certificate of merit. The programmed commenced with the traditional Diya lightening ceremony followed by cultural programme that included classical dance, motivational song, skit and instrumental shows on both the days. It was a commendable effort of the entire team. Academic success is important because it is strongly linked to the positive outcomes we value.

“In contemporary time we have limited ourselves so much to the use of mobile phones that we lack practical knowledge to deal with any sort of problem that might come in our way anytime” as put by Chief Guest, Mr. Kartik S, (Superintendent of Police, Bokaro Steel City) at the Science Exhibition held at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro. Dr. Sathyapriya was also present to grace the occasion as Guest of Honour. The dignitories present to grace the occasion were Mr. Mahesh Tripathi, Secretary; R.N Mallik, Treasurer; Dr. Ashok Singh, Principal; Mr. A. K. Jha, Vice Principal; In-charges, Academic Supervisors, Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro. Students of Classes Nursery to 11 were given specific themes on which they had to make their models, like Go Green, Monuments of India, Science Ahead and several others. The enthusiastic participation and creative energy shown by the students and the tremendous hard work of the team members was worth appreciating which in turn made the event a great success.

Parting is a part of life and it paves the way for new beginnings. The farewell for Class XII was held at Tapovan Hall, Chinmaya Vidyalaya on 25th January, 2019. The occasion was graced by the presence of Vidyalayas Acharaya, Swamini SamyuktanandaJi as the Chief Guest, Mr. Mahesh Tripathi, Secretary; Dr. Ashok Singh, Principal, Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro. The occasion began with the inspirational words of Vidyalayas Acharaya- “Hard work is the key to success and right ethics builds up an immaculate character.” Mr. Mahesh Tripathi guided the student by saying that “Patience, Virtue, Discipline, Knowledge, and both physical and mental fitness leads one to success.” Dr. Ashok Singh said that “one should bring out the best in oneself.” The programme began with the traditional Diya lightening ceremony. It was followed by spectacular dance performances and prize distribution ceremony. The students were awarded for their achievement in Academics, Sports, Dance, Music and Extra curriculars. Raman Bhushan and Niharika Singh bagged the most awaited Style Icon tag of the year. The day ended with the Vidyalaya song. The day consisted countless moments that will be cherished by the students lifelong.

“Beauty is power and a smile is its sword.” A three days smile Camp was organized by Chinmaya Yuva Kendra, Chinmaya Mission, Bokaro from 7/3/2019 to 9/3/2019. The students of Classes 2 to 5 enthusiastically participated in the camp. The events included Brainstorming, Treasure Hunt, Singing and Dancing competitions. The objective of the camp was to create an ambience of activity based learning focusing on pragmatism. Participants were awarded by the esteemed Dignitories present on the occasion.

The best investment you can ever make is on your health. Keeping this in mind Chill camp was organized at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro Steel City from 10/3/2019 to 12/3/3019. The three days camp included various fun and recreational activities like Train the brain, the actor within, notebook making, quiz session, movie workshop. Each day concluded with "jhoomo nachoo" which helped to sustain the energy level of the kids till the end of the day. Students of Classes Nursery to 5 participated in it. The objective of the camp was to promote healthy lifestyle as physical fitness is the first requisite of happiness. Participants of the various events were awarded by the school dignitaries.

“Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything.” Music Art and Crafts camp was inaugurated on 16/3/2019 by the school dignitaries present on the occasion. Students of Classes Nursery to eight have participated in it. Day 1 included training students in vocal, keyboard, tabla, guitar, dance, thumb painting, hand painting and stencil print and at the end of the day students gave a combined performance based on the day’s lesson. The objective of the camp is to provide a learning platform to the students to exhibit their talents in non-academic field.

Dance is a performing art form which involves movement of the body in a rhythmic way, usually for the purpose of expressing an idea or emotion, releasing energy and taking delight in the movement itself. I N SEARCH of Talent in Dance Chinmaya Vidyalaya organized “Talent Hunt Dance” competition for classes nursery to two. The objective of this programme was to enable the students to learn team work, focus and improvisational skills. Many students participated and performed their best. They opted Classical, Semi Classical, freestyle and folk dance. They expressed the aesthetic and symbolic value through their performances. The chief guest and the honorable judge Mrs. Soma Sah and the dignitaries Mr. Mahesh Tripathi, secretary ;Mr. A.K. Jha, Principal In-charge were present to grace the occasion. Participation and energy shown by the students and the tremendous hard work was remarkable, which in turn made the event a grand success.

73rd INDEPENDENCE DAY

Chinmaya Vidyalaya celebrated the 73rd Independence Day with great splendor, joy and respect for the Mother India, at its premises on 15th August this year. The celebration commenced with the hoisting of Tiranga followed by National Anthem. The school choir sang patriotic songs, children performed dance drama(Mannikarnika), Nukad Natak on Phulwama attack ,speech,skit and aerobics with an objective to sensitize children about the struggles of our martyrs and freedom fighters.

Chinmaya Vidyalaya celebrates its Foundation Day on August 19, every year. The foundation stone for the internationally recognized Institute was laid by Param Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayanandaji. Since then the Institute has grown from strength to strength and is now counted among the best schools across the country. The School celebrated its 43nd Foundation Day on Monday 19th August, 2019 by offering Paduka Puja at Saptarshi Bhavan, Chanting 108 names of Gurudev and distributing sweets among students.

Certain ceremonies are celebrated with a difference and one such ceremony is the Kindergarten Graduation where a tiny tot completes his tenure in the Kindergarten School and prepares himself/ herself to step into a completely new world of Primary School. The significance not only surrounds the child s all round journey in his /her Kindergarten world, but also showcases the tireless efforts of the Kindergarten teachers in nurturing and grooming of these tiny tots. The celebration brings out the creative side of each multi talented child and prepares them to shine bright and cheerful through the rhythm of songs and dances and various other programs in which they participate on that day. This day serves as the platform for many children to shed their inhibition and take the front stage to perform and make the parents proud. Kindergarten Graduation is a celebration that marks the journey of a child to a school in which they will be spending 10 long years facing ups and downs and experimenting and exploring new ideas and things and shaping themselves into tomorrow s leaders.

Grandparents are the precious gems of a family. Their experience and knowledge spills the words of wisdom & captivate the grandchildren with their love and concern. In the current scenario, where nuclear families are being encouraged, grandchildren are deprived of the treasure trove transferred from generations to generations. Chinmaya Vidyalaya, celebrated Grand Parents Day on 19th August 2019 to honor them. It helped to make the students understand the importance and value of grandparents.

Hari om The COVID-19 has resulted in schools shut all across the world. As a result, education has changed dramatically, with the distinctive rise of e-learning, whereby teaching is undertaken on digital platforms. We at Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro conduct various activities online. As per our legacy, we celebrated online Krishna Janamastami with all passion and zealous, on 11th August. The students dressed up as lord Krishna and Radha, complete with flutes, peacock feathers and matkas. They looked adorable dressed as Krishna , Radha and the Gopis. Students presented songs, dance performances and a short role play. On this auspicious occasion, teachers and students showcased unmatched enthusiasm, specially primary section under the supervision of Academic Supervisor, our vidyalaya would like to thank All parents and Teacher who involved themselves in celebrating Krishna Janmastami, Sadhuwad to all the students and teachers who thrivingly and enthusiastically participated in Krishna Janamastami celebrations.

15 th August - 74th Independence Day was celebrated with great pomp and joy in ChinmayaVidyalaya. In view of the Corona pandemic, Independence day was celebrated online which was marked with a number of online cultural activities. Shri Mahesh Tripathi secretary CV hoisted the national flag. He was assisted by Shri AK Jha Principal In-charge. Patriotic songs motivational speeches and various folk dances mesmerized the students who were witnessing the entire program online. Students from primary, secondary and senior secondary actively participated to create an atmosphere of unconditional love for India.

AradhanaDiwas - it was a great opportunity for Chinmaya Vidyalaya family to observe Aradhana Divas that marks the Samadhi Divas of Param Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayanandji. This day was observed with deep serenity and simplicity. An online program marked with devotional songs and messages based on life and work of Swami Chinmayanandji was presented. Students from primary, secondary and senior secondary enthusiastically participated in this in this online program to remember this greatest Saint of all time. Shri Mahesh Tripathi Secretary CV said that Gurudev was not only a person but a mission and we proudly carry forward his legacy of spiritual knowledge and service to humanity. Shri AK Jha Principal Incharge said that Gurudev has touched and transformed many a life. We are proud to be a part of his mission and vision.

On this day two of our esteemed teachers where felicitated by the Management for their dedicated service to this institution. Dr Deepak Kumar and Mrs. B.
