GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR PARENTS/GUARDIANS
The school believes in discipline and firmness. Slackness,
disobedience and disregard of rules will not be tolerated and any
work or action likely to lower the image of the school is regarded as a
breach of the school discipline.
1. Parents must get a prior appointment for meeting Principal/ Vice
Principal/Incharge/Teacher through website or school diary.
2. Parents must carry their original photo ID proof along with the
parent’s copy of the diary. It must be shown to the security guard at
the gate. It is mandatory for safety and security.
3. School has discretion on access/entry of a visitor in campus.
4. The parents/guardians are earnestly requested to extend their
full co-operation to the school authorities :
i) By advising their wards to follow the school rules strictly.
ii) By taking active interest in the progress of their wards.
iii) By contacting the Principal or class-teacher by prior
appointment in case of their wards facing difficulties in their
studies.
iv) By providing their wards with tiffin and discouraging them from
having food from outside vendors.
v) By clearing all dues payable to the school within the stipulated
time.
vi) By ensuring that their wards do not possess any contagious
disease while attending the school.
vii) By ensuring that their wards do not loiter on the roads, near the
school gate after school hours. This may cause mishaps.
viii) By ensuring that their wards do not while away time aimlessly
after returning home from school.
ix) By creating a very congenial atmosphere at home to enable their
wards to develop themselves mentally, morally and socially.
• The Guardians / Parents are forbidden to bring or distribute
cakes and savouries during their wards' birthdays or on any
special occasion.
• They are required to inform the school if there is any change in
their addresses or telephone numbers.
• Leave for ½ day should not be asked for security reasons. In
emergency, written permission must be taken from the
Principal through the class teacher and the bus in-charge.
• Children, when sick, should not be sent to school to attend
classes. Such children will be allowed to appear in the
test/exam with prior permission only.
• Attention of parents is drawn to the fact that criticism of the
teacher or school in the presence of their children should be
scrupulously avoided because it causes the students to lose
respect for their teachers with the consequent failure to learn
from them. It further retards their progress.
• Parents are advised to grant pocket money very judiciously to
the students. The pocket money should not exceed rupees ten
everyday.
• Should there be any legitimate complaint, please meet the
Principal at once or write in a separate letter addressed to him.
He will look into the matter personally.
• Any communication made by parents/guardians should be
addressed to the Principal and not to the class teachers and all
correspondence from the school to the parents must be through
the Principal.
• The report card is an important document and should be kept
safely. If the report card is lost, a replacement will be made on
payment of Rs. 100/-.
• The name, admission number, class, section and house of the
students should clearly be marked on their belongings.
• Parents are requested to co-operate with the school in its attempt
to help their children's progress by paying attention to their
regularity, punctuality and discipline and by taking interest in their
homework. They should check the diary everyday and note the
homework and other instructions in the diary. In case of small
children, the parents are advised to check the bag of their wards to
• Care must be taken of all school property and any damage caused
by a student will be made good by the student concerned. In
addition to it, a fine will be imposed for the offence.
• It is not advisable to bring to school valuable articles like expensive
watches, fountain pens, transistor radios, tape recorders,
calculators, mobile phones and jewellery. In case of any loss of
valuables or other articles, the school authorities will try their best
to trace these but shall not undertake any responsibility for the loss.
• Mobile phones are strictly prohibited in the school campus. If a
student is found to be possessing one, it would be seized and
would certainly not be given back to the student. It would be given
ONLYto the parents on producing relevant/ ID proof.
• Possession of a mobile phone shall be considered a serious
offence and violation of discipline in the eye of the school
management. Parents / Guardians are requested to cooperate
with the school management in this regard.
• The students should be recognized not only by their School
Uniform but also by their good conduct and behaviour as students
of Chinmaya Vidyalaya.
• Please sign the occasional reports which the management,
Principal, Vice Principal or teachers make in the calendar/diary.
• Parents are requested to see the website regarding holidays, test
schedule, Model Test paper and Open Day for parents.
